Electrlytic Galvanized Iron
The electrical galvanized steel are the product to put zinc coats via electrolytic methods, which enhance anti-corrosive property, have smaller and more uniform plating attachment quantity than GI (hot-dip galvanized steel), and are excellent in painting finishing. Besides, there are a variety of material selection choices and workability is excellent because this can maintain material characteristics of original sheet.

Characteristics of Electro-Galvanized Steel
  • Pure Zn Electro-Galvanized Steel
    • Workability
      Since it has less coating weight and has no heat-affected zones during the manufacturing process compared with GI and GA. It secures the material characteristics and workability at the same levels of those of the base metals , that is cold-rolled (CR) sheet.
    • Corrosion Resistance
      Fe can be protected the sacrificial anode reactions caused by the galvanic actions of Zinc(Zn) and, in case that it is exposed to air, a thin film is formed on the surface to prevent it from being corroded.
    • Printability
      Its flat and even surface secures the good conditions for painting and a phosphate treatment improves its paint adhesion and anti-corrosion properiies after painting.
    • Weldability
      Pure Zn galvanized steel have a wide contact area when pressure is applied and, though their weldability is a little poor since their electrical conductivity is inferior to that of cold-rolled steel. It is possible to conduct a spot or a seam welding with satisfaction along with the appropriate welding conditions and the application of some post-treatments.
